NEW: CARE rabbits are starting RHDV2 vaccine 12/14/21 with 2nd booster 1/4/22. Adopter must be able to make the January appt. at Cornerstone Animal Hospital in Irmo, SC. This vaccine will be covered by CARE.
All rabbits receive an exam, dewormer, topical treatment for possible fleas, mites & heartworms, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE. Each rabbit is fed high quality grass hays, fresh vegetables, high quality pellets, and some fruits.
All of these expenses, often over months, cost a lot more than the adoption fee. Many vets charge $120 to $700 for rabbit neuters/spays alone. We are nonprofit and have to make up some of the costs through adoption fees in addition to accepting donations and fundraising.
