Fred's mom passed away, so her dad was feeling overwhelmed with the amount of pets he was left to care for (22 cats & 10 dogs). Out of love, he surrendered Prissy, Fred and Timmy to CARE. These sweet babies are now looking for a forever family. They can be adopted together or separately. They are not super attached to each other, but do seem to get along well.
Fred is heartworm positive, but does not have heartworm disease. He will stay on heartworm "prevention" pills until the adult worms die off.
A completed adoption application and home visit are required for approval to adopt a CARE dog. Out of state adoptions okay. All dogs receive a distemper/parvovirus vaccine(s), kennel cough vaccine, rabies vaccine, dewormer, monthly heartworm prevention, flea & tick prevention and treatment if needed, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE.
