All basic vetting has been done. Jackie has a dental scheduled for 10/28/22.
Jackie is heartworm positive, but doesn't have heartworm disease. She will stay on heartworm prevention (same as you would with any dog) until the adult worms die off. This will be provided by CARE for a year (at which point she should be negative at her annual check-up). All basic vetting has been done.
A completed adoption application and home visit are required for approval to adopt a CARE dog. Out of state adoptions okay. All dogs receive a distemper/parvovirus vaccine(s), kennel cough vaccine, rabies vaccine, dewormer, monthly heartworm prevention, flea & tick prevention and treatment if needed, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE.
